The Sala Demonstration Garden
The Sala Demonstration Garden was inaugurated in June 2017, coinciding with the Viridalia event of that same year.
It is an essential element of Sala Graupera to experiment, market, and promote the use of new species for Sustainable Gardening.
This 2,000 m² space, located in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres, is designed so that both our clients and professionals in the sector who want to introduce this type of gardening can see the final development of the plants we sell. It is also a space for inspiration. Likewise, it is frequently visited by agricultural schools, gardening students, and plant-loving individuals.
It is a garden without irrigation—only an establishment watering was carried out during the first 12-14 weeks, and subsequently, those species that at some point during the year need help to enhance their appearance or flowering are watered.
It aims to be a living garden, with the incorporation of insect nests, bird nests, and a water trough for amphibians, insects, and birds that need access to water, especially during summer periods when they suffer considerably. At the same time, it serves us to experiment with new plant species from Mediterranean climate zones around the world.
Currently, the garden has over 300 species, and in 2025 it has been renovated in collaboration with Vitex Jardinería, a non-profit social initiative cooperative whose goal is to help generalize gardening, landscaping, and landscape restoration practices with ecosystem services adapted to new climatic conditions.
We invite you all to visit it frequently to observe the changes it shows throughout the different seasons of the year.
