Who we are?
Sala Graupera is a family business with a long history rooted in Sant Andreu de Llavaneres and the Maresme region. Founded in 1960 by Lluís Sala Graupera, the company continued to grow under the leadership of his sons, Lluís and Albert, who consolidated the project within the plant production sector.
Over the years, passion for plants and innovation have remained central pillars of our journey. In June 2017, the third generation joined the business management thanks to the young farmers' first installation initiative from the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
Since then, we have committed to technical improvement and sustainability in all our processes. We have incorporated cutting-edge technology from leading Dutch nurseries, mechanized seedling production and planting, and optimized the irrigation system at our Llavaneres estate to make it more efficient and environmentally friendly.
We have also incorporated more than 1,200 mobile growing tables, which improve ergonomics and working conditions for our team, while promoting plant health and quality.
In 2021, the plant multiplication and propagation material division was spun off to create BotanyXS, which operates as a subsidiary of Sala Graupera and supplies plant material both to the parent company and to other nurseries in Spain and southern Europe.
Subsequently, the business expanded with a new shrub and perennial plant production center in Dosrius, and later with a strategic alliance with the Vivers de Bell-Lloc Foundation at the ivy and climbing plants production center in Cardedeu.
