For a few weeks now we can find a selection of Sala Graupera plants at the well-known Servicio de Estación in Barcelona. This establishment located near the central Paseo de Gracia, has a gardening section, where in addition to other materials for the garden, many of the species produced in the Nursery can be purchased.
This space has two demonstration garden areas where you can observe the development and behavior of Sala Graupera species.
In these gardens we find various plants from the Nursery, among which we can highlight the following grasses:
**\*Festuca glauca\*\*\*** "Blaufuchs"\*\* A grass that can be used as groundcover and that will stand out among the rest of the garden vegetation for its glaucous color. Its flowering is formed by small spikes, which at the end of summer turn copper color and stand out on the blue-green foliage.
**_Stipa tenuissima_** Another very unique grass that brings great dynamism to the planters due to its light habit that moves with the breeze, about which you can find more details in this recent **post** .
**Zoysia tenuifolia** An interesting alternative to lawn, with minimal maintenance, both mowing and irrigation needs.
In addition to the grasses, there are also other species such as:
**_Bulbine frutescens_** This plant with succulent and linear leaves, with a long and profuse flowering, is a very suitable species for low water consumption gardens, rock garden areas or for cultivation in pots. You can find more information about this plant in this previous **post** .
**_Boronia spathulata_** This small shrub that reaches half a meter in height is characterized by its light pink flowering that covers practically the entire plant, it has light leaves that give it a unique habit. It is a plant that can grow well in partial shade areas and accepts cultivation in pots well.
In addition to the plants present in the demonstration gardens, numerous species of easy cultivation and low maintenance can be purchased, very suitable for sustainable gardening, which can be very useful at this time of year, so conducive to improving or introducing new plants in our gardens.
We encourage you to visit this space, both now and at other times of the year to enjoy the seasonal variability of this vegetation and appreciate its natural habit.
