Shade plants on 'Espai Terra' TV3

Last Friday, October 28, Vivers Sala Graupera was invited again to the TV3 program 'Espai Terra', this time to talk about the species that, in ancient times, our grandparents had in their courtyards. These courtyards were characterized by a very common climate in all of them, shade and humidity. Sala Graupera has tried to recover these species and has marketed them again. An example of this would be Aspidistra elatior, Bergenia crassiflora and Farfugium japonicum.

Another point discussed was tree-lined public parks, since our climate, with sunny and hot summers, forces us to plant tree species to create shaded areas in public spaces and be able to enjoy them. From our nursery we try to find those ideal species for these conditions, such as all the Liriope, the Ophiopogon, Pachisandra terminalis, and Iresine herbsti.

Finally, it was also discussed those species that already tolerate some hours of sun during the day, such as Agapanthus 'White Ice', Boronia crenulata and Myrtus communis 'Corredor'.

If you want to know more details about all these species you can consult our catalog.
